British thing of the week # 5

I would never in a million years have thought that I would learn to love these little beans, I have never understood the fuzz about beans on almost everything. But now after almost 10 years in UK I do, I DO - I love baked beans on toast, in my jack potato, for breakfast with eggs or on their own, I just love them and the kids love them to.  God save the beans....

Do you like beans?

BRITISH thing of the week # 4

I love Jamie Oliver, or should I say I love the way he cooks. I have a subscription on his monthly magazine which is always packed with fantastic recipes. We also have all of his cook books.

My favourite recipe so far is 'Jool's favourite beef stew' you can find it here, a perfect dish for cold days.

I also have some of 'Jamie at Home' products which you can only buy at home parties. I have hosted a few my self, they are great fun and as a hostess you always get points to buy new lovely things. This is what I have bought so far:

So from now on I will introduce you to 'BRITISH' thing of the week.
I will choose a product or item each week that is either British designed or manufactured.

This week it is a wonderful treat, perhaps quite childish? But I have a great love for it and I think it taste wonderful :-)

Let me introduce you to HARTLEY'S JELLY
