On Tuesday I went up to Greenwich with a good friend of mine to get some information about to have a stall at the Greenwich Market (more about that later). The sun was out and the weather was mild. We had a little wonder through the
Old Royal Naval College If you haven't seen it, Its definitely worth a visit if you ever come to London. It's amazingly beautiful. We often drive up there on a Sunday, The Greenwich park across the street is massive and perfect for a game of football, picnic, hide and seek or just bring a blanket and relax, there is also a big playground with a ice cream shop and toilet facilities, so overall a great place to take the kids. Greenwich park is famously know for the home of the
Royal Observatory, it is situated on top of a hill in the park overlooking the River Thames, possible one of the best views in town!
If you fancy a wander through the village there are a lot of individual shops, cafe's, restaurants and pubs to explore and the market is open all week. On a week day there are a lot of vintage and antique stalls. I Was lucky to pick up 2 vintage wallpaper rolls, a small Jug and a melamine sugar bowl & cream jug for only £15.00. We finished our visit of with a bit of dim sum, I love days like this.
South the River, the view is
Canary Wharf, where we use to live...
Great pub for lunch, you can easy bring the kids
Dim Sum
I love the contrast of new and old architecture
