I made these very trendy outfits for my Barbie doll....
My Mother taught me from a very early age how to use her sewing machine. I even made some of my own clothes back then!
Ophelia broke up from school yesterday, half term it is then.... They finished the term with a Valentine Disco in the afternoon and the girls (Ophelia & Maja) got ready at Maja's. They were allowed to have their nails painted and they left the house very exited with pink cheeks and red lips... o la la
Finally the snow arrived in Medway and we had our fair share overnight. What a delightful sight this morning, the kids were over exited and out in the snow just after breakfast!! Al did the clearing of the drive and quite a bit of the road with help from next door. I baked 'Fastelavns boller' (A sweet bread roll filled with custard and jam that we eat in Denmark up to the start of Lent). After lunch we hit the best sledging hill in town - We had so much fun.
This week we have had a very special visitor from Denmark; Lovely Malene one of our 'old' au-pairs came to see us. Wednesday afternoon we drove up to London to go to the magical Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. I will truly recommend a visit, specially late afternoon when its all dark and you can enjoy all the twinkling lights. There are enough rides, food & craft stalls to keep you entertained for hours. Ophelia, Malene and I had pre booked tickets to the ice rink, which was absolute fantastic. It's been 10 years since I've been ice-skating.... a little practice and I was good to go. Ophelia who's a beginner did a really good job and didn't take long to pick up the technique.
After 3 hours we left the park, we all had a really good time. Hopefully we'll be back next year.
